The Divine Feminine Fire:
Kundalini, Creativity, and Cosmic Consciousness
The age-old yogic and Tantric teachings tell us that the cosmic feminine force known as kundalini-Shakti dances with Shiva, her beloved, in an external dance of cosmic creation. They also tell us that when she awakens she is the source of mystical experience and divinely inspired creativity found in the great saints and mystics.
But kundalini-Shakti is also active in each and every one of us. In this hands-on creative writing workshop you'll explore this divine feminine energy as the source of creative inspiration, spiritual growth, and empowerment in your life and help you balance the divine masculine and feminine you hold within.
Award-winning writer and public speaker, Teri Degler is the author/co-author of nine books including The Fiery Muse: Creativity and the Spiritual Quest. For more than twenty years Teri has been involved in research on kundalini-shakti, the divine feminine, and the lives of highly creative women mystics. Her latest book, The Divine Feminine Fire: Creativity and Your Yearning to Express Your Self, is expected out in 2009.

Margaret Starbird
Mary Magdalene:
Reclaiming the Divine Feminine
What if the first Christian heresy was the denial of the Bride? Was Mary Magdalene the wife and beloved of Jesus? What became of her after the Crucifixion? Why was her story suppressed by the Church Fathers and why must we now retrieve it? We will examine the Sacred Partnership revealed at the very heart of the Christian faith, correcting the tragic "design flaw" in Christian doctrine-the loss of the Holy Bride.
Margaret Starbird has a MA degree in Comparative Literature and is widely acclaimed for books cited as catalysts for the "The Da Vinci Code." Her world-wide presentations reclaim Sacred Partnership in Christianity. Author of Mary Magdalene, Bride in Exile, The Woman with the Alabaster Jar, The Goddess in the Gospels, Magdalene's Lost Legacy, The Tarot Trumps and the Holy Grail and The Feminine Face of Christianity.

Heather Taylor-Zimmerman
Healing Mandalas
We will create healing mandalas as an act of reconciliation or atONEment, aligning the individual within the world and the world within the cosmos. Cosmos means order and so we will create an ordered sphere in which to project our divine potential. In the sacred circle we are whole we are healed and so with our planet. This requires that we embrace all parts of ourselves; that we unite as people, as women, and as a planet. Working with the trinity, sacred numerology, and cosmology we will explore the macrocosm and the macrocosm, learning to channel energy as above so below. Both the theoretical and practical or applied aspects of mandala imagery will be covered. Two mandalas will be created, one exploratory and one finished. $7.50 material fee paid to presenter.
Heather is an artist and art history major who has studied spiritual and artistic practices from around the world and throughout. Her art has been commissioned for the past 15 years for hospitals, banks, museums, schools, and clinics. During the last two years she created a series of female mandalas as a process of reconciliation within herself and for others.

Collaborative Leadership - Women's Wisdom in Action
We are living in unprecedented times, calling for new ways of leading to meet the challenges and complexities of a vastly changing world. The myth of the individual heroic leader will no longer suffice. To be effective leaders whether in family, teams, organizations or communities, requires us to question the outworn myths and assumptions of 20th Century leadership. And this requires becoming conscious. Meeting these requirements will open the way for the emergence of a new paradigm of leading; a paradigm that is more inclusive, sustainable, compassionate and wise, at its heart, Collaborative Leadership. Women are most poised to bring this forth, for they are on the leading edge of a vital vanguard of visionaries, ushering in new collaborative paradigms.
This workshop will be an introduction to Collaborative Leadership- its core principles, applications and implications for our lives and leadership in communities and organizations.
Rita Lustgarten, Ph.D. is Founder and CEO of Visionary Leadership International. She is an organizational consultant, psychotherapist, seminar leader, facilitator and executive coach. She facilitates sustainable engagement models, resulting in conscious leadership/cultures. She is the co-founder of The Path of Conscious Leadership Membership Site and the author of The Myths of Life and The Choices We Have.

Awilda Verdejo
The Female Voice and Sexuality
Do I like my voice? What does my voice tell me about me? What does my voice tell others about me? Can I change my voice?
The voice is the vehicle of sound given to you to express and articulate your thoughts, your emotions, your needs, your desires, - your dreams. Like your fingerprints, your voice identifies and expresses the uniqueness of who you are. This workshop, specifically designed for women, will address the relationship women have to their bodies and how that impacts the voice, their understanding of power and their commitment to freeing the voice. You will learn how the voice informs your sexuality and sexuality informs it. You will learn and practice owning and using the voice that has been custom made specifically for you with joy, authority and integrity. In order to do this, we will look at the Voice and the Body, the Voice and Power, the Voice and Freedom.
Awilda is a Puerto Rican Black woman, a wife, mother, teacher, and consultant. She trained at Juilliard and for the past 30 years has sung such roles as Aida, Madama Butterfly and Tosca internationally, also doing Symphonic concerts and recitals.
