Energy Medicine: From Ancient Healing Traditions to Empowerment in the Modern World
Energy medicine traces to a time when we were closer to the rhythms of the planet and of our bodies, a time when the wisdom of the sacred feminine guided us in all we do. From the Celtic healing arts to Traditional Chinese Medicine, from yoga and chi gong to shamans and priestesses, energy healing was widely understood and widely practiced. By re-embracing these methods and applying them in thoroughly modern contexts, we re-connect with a lost sacred wisdom while nourishing our body's, minds, and souls with the natural energies that are the birthright of each of us.
Donna Eden has been a pioneer in developing energy medicine for more than 30 years, and she is among the field's most sought, most compelling, and most authoritative spokespersons. Her book, Energy Medicine, just released in an award-winning 10th Anniversary Edition, is the classic in its field, in 15 languages with more than 200,000 U.S. sales. Her new book, Energy Medicine for Women, was the U.S. Book News Women's Health Book of the Year and won the Gold in the Nautilus Health Category. According to Christiane Northrup, MD: "Donna Eden is one of the most joyous and effective pioneers in the rapidly expanding and vitally important frontier called energy medicine."

It's Not the End of the World:
Developing Resilience in Times of Change
The world is in a state of crisis, but you don't have to be. We all know resilient people who bounce back from hardship and create their best lives out of the ashes of the past. That's the transformational promise of change. Other people stress out and melt down losing hope, productivity, and health. That's the danger in times of change. The good news is that resilience isn't a genetic gift for the lucky few. It's a well researched and easily understood skill that anyone can practice and master.
Resilient people face reality head-on, take bold action, find deeper meaning in life, laugh often, and are masters of the right brain skill of bricolage…radical improvisation. A new kind of natural selection is already having its way with us. Hopeful, stress-hardy people are creating the new world that is already emerging. But as change and uncertainty continue to escalate, those prone to stress and despair will be less able to compete and offer their gifts to the world.
We are at a tipping point, and in this lecture, Joan Borysenko, a world-renowned expert on stress, health, and human potential, offers you the tools you need to step into a bold new future that works for us all.
Joan Borysenko, Ph.D. has been described as "a respected scientist, a gifted therapist, and an unabashed mystic." A New York Times best selling author, Joan has written 14 books on mind-body medicine, women's issues, and spiritual growth. She is trained as a cancer cell biologist, psychologist, and spiritual director. Joan is the Director of the SoulCare in HealthCare Training Program; a blogger for the Huffington Post; and a nationally known speaker and trainer. Her latest book is It's Not the End of the World: Developing Resilience in Times of Change. You can find out more at www.joanborysenko.com.
