Volunteering for the Annual Conference
Our 2020 Conference, held on February 14 - 16, 2020, will be exciting again this year, as everyone will be participating in the events and workshops for the full-day or weekend. We will be together for meals and enjoy a programs of music, movement and inspiration during our group time at lunches and the Saturday banquet.
Volunteers will assist in the mornings, at meals between workshops, and closing time on Saturday or Sunday. Friday evening volunteers will be needed for set up, ticket sales, auction, and more.
You will be able to attend all the events for the day you select at no charge. All volunteers need to pay for their meals for the days they are attending. (which are fabulous and fun) A few volunteers may be assigned to some pre-conference office assistance prior to the conference in early February.
We have a limited number of positions available. You will work a certain number of hours to receive a One-Day Conference Pass or 2-Day Conference Weekend Pass. We no longer offer partial attendance (half day workshops) for volunteer positions. All volunteers for the Annual Conference will participate for at least One Full Day.
The conference schedule can be viewed here:
There will be a pre-conference volunteer training the first week of February - we will post the date later. Please make every effort to attend this orientation if you are selected to be a volunteer.
Send us your application as soon as you can to ensure your spot. If we have more applicants than needed, we will create a wait list and notify you if there's an opening.
Thank you for your interest in volunteering for Women of Wisdom and supporting our Conference. We look forward to working with you for the 2020 Women of Wisdom Conference.
All questions should be directed to the Volunteer Coordinator, Janet Jennings at: [email protected]
Scholarships Opportunities
We are pleased to be able to offer scholarships to those that need assistance. Scholarship money is made available through fundraising efforts and support from the Women of Wisdom community. Please take the time to answer a few questions on the scholarship application regarding your needs. Funding is limited. If you are able, please consider partial payment and volunteer work toward this scholarship. Please fill out the Volunteer Application as well.
Scholarships are based solely on financial need and will be filled on a first come, first served basis. We encourage you to sign up as early as possible since the number of scholarships is limited. Submission of an application does not guarantee a scholarship award.
Scholarships will be given out for a One-Day Conference Pass participation only, on either Saturday, February 15th or Sunday, February 16th, so that we can give the opportunity to as many women as possible.
Again, thank you for your interest in attending the Women of Wisdom Conference. If you have any questions or comments, please contact the Volunteer and Scholarship Coordinator at [email protected]
